Laboratory Benefits Management Program
MDX Hawai’i in partnership with BeaconLBS launches the Laboratory Benefits Management Program.
To help improve quality and support appropriate selection of outpatient laboratory services, we are excited to announce that MDX Hawai‘i is collaborating with Beacon Laboratory Benefit Solutions, Inc. (BeaconLBS®) to launch the Laboratory Benefits Management Program. The new collaboration will provide a critical tool to help improve the quality of lab testing and help ensure our members continue to have timely, cost-effective access to the care they need.
Using evidence-based guidelines and industry best practices, BeaconLBS’ Physician Decision Support technology provides support to ordering providers when choosing appropriate tests and accredited laboratories for their patients and allows providers to receive streamlined notifications for claim submission requirements.
Ordering providers will begin using BeaconLBS Physician Decision Support (PDS) portal for laboratory test ordering on January 1, 2020.
In the next few weeks, BeaconLBS representatives will also be contacting providers to assist in the registration process. BeaconLBS and MDX Hawai‘i will provide training on the program so that providers are educated and prepared for the launch.
